With such limited inventory on the market right now, if you’re selling your home, you can expect an influx of buyers wanting to see your home.
In fact, we’ve had as many as 40 people wanting to see a home the very first day it goes on the market. This can be stressful and overwhelming as a seller. I know how it feels.
Hi, I’m Jennifer Prestwich, the Prestwich Group at Madison & Company Properties and I’ve been a residential realtor since 2008. I’ve worked with the majority of sellers during my 13 years in the business.
And you may be wondering how do I handle all the agents and showing times and coordinating everything while still trying to live in my home? So here is my top tip that may make the experience easier on you.
My best advice? Leave for the weekend.
Or if that’s not possible, leave for the entire day and come back at night once the frenzy’s over. Now, this may seem unusual, but showings can be disruptive to your schedule, and you wanna make sure that buyers have the opportunity to see your home. Especially when the market is moving quickly this is a good idea.
There are other options to consider. We can talk about those when we meet. The good news is that as a seller, you’re in the driver’s seat and you should expect to sell your home for top dollar and with the most favorable terms.
Be sure to reach out to me for all of your real estate questions, big or small. Remember, life is too short not to love where you live.
